Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Bridal Trial/Preview required?
Bridal Previews are included in the Bridal Package. It gives us the chance to meet, discuss your style, and try out your Bridal glam!
How far out should I book my Trial/Preview?
I recommend 2-3 months prior to your wedding date. If we do the preview too far in advance, your style and vision could change.
When are you available for Previews and Trials?
I schedule bridal previews and trials Monday through Thursday between 8:00am - 2:30pm and some Sundays.
What is the difference between a Bridal Preview VS a Bridal Trial?
A bridal preview is for clients who have signed a contract and paid their retainer to secure their wedding date. A bridal preview is to preview your desired look and to also go over your wedding timeline and any other details about your wedding day.
A bridal trial is for clients who have not secured their date and would like to try out their desired look. Your wedding date is open to all other inquiries in the meantime.
Do you require a retainer to book?
To secure your wedding date, I require a signed contract and $105.00 non-refundable retainer. You do have a 48 hour grace period from the time the contract has been sent out to sign and pay your retainer, otherwise your date is void and becomes available for others to book.
For all other services, I require a signed contract and $52.50 retainer to secure your date.
Do you have a minimum booking requirement?
Yes! I have a minimum booking requirement of a Bride + 3 others for May - October weddings.
Can I book a Trial prior to securing my date?
Absolutely, but this is on a first come, first serve basis. Nothing is secured unless your contract is signed and the retainer has been paid.
How do you take payment?
I accept e-transfer, credit, debit and cash.
How much time should I allow for makeup on my wedding day?
Allow at least 1 - 1.5 hours for the bride and 60 minutes for all others (bridesmaids, mothers, etc)
What if I want to add people/services?
Once the contract is signed, that number is not subject to change UNLESS you are able to adjust your timeline to an earlier start time. I plan the day based on that number of people, and as a solo artist, I am only able to accommodate 6-7 services if the timeline allows.
What if I need another Makeup Artist?
As a solo Makeup Artist, I can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 6-7 services, depending on the timeline.
For larger parties or in cases where your timeline is especially tight, securing a second Makeup Artist is often necessary. I can coordinate an assistant artist for an additional Assistant Fee of $150, plus the standard cost of services they provide. This ensures your schedule stays on track without sacrificing quality.
Can we get ready in my venue's Bridal Suite?
We understand they are beautiful and make for the best photos, but venues fail to mention that you typically don't get access to the bridal suite until 9am or 10am, which makes it incredibly difficult to accommodate a large wedding party with a tight timeline.
Where do you recommend getting ready?
Airbnb or a hotel are perfect options! Ask hotels if you can use their conference rooms for a larger space.
